During a period teeming with new artistic ideas, painters, sculptors, ceramists, graphic artists and interior designers and decorators explored new areas, pushing back the boundaries of figurative expression to venture into abstraction. This exhibition highlights the work of the major figures in this great adventure: Paul-Émile Borduas, Jean Dallaire, Charles Daudelin, Marcelle Ferron, Robert Roussil, Claude Tousignant and many others.
