5 reasons to visit the Museum this summer

The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec proposes the broadest overview of Québec art history. Admire Rembrandt etchings

Until September 2, 2024, the Museum is presenting the indispensable, timeless work of the great master of European art Rembrandt. In an exclusive Canadian engagement through an outstanding loan from a prestigious Dutch museum, the Rembrandt. Etchings from the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen international exhibition of a scope rarely seen in Canada assembles 80 etchings of one of the greatest engravers of all time in an unforgettable intimate experience.

Discover a great Canadian impressionist

Helen McNicoll, whose destiny is remarkable, is an artist noteworthy for her outstanding mastery of light. Presented until January 5, 2025, the Helen McNicoll. An Impressionist Journey exhibition assembles more than 65 paintings, including 25 from the outstanding collection of philanthropist and art lover Pierre Lassonde. Through the prism of travel, the exhibition examines the themes of female independence, risk-taking, friendship, and freedom for women in the stimulating context of the fight of English suffragettes for the right to vote.

Located in the main glass lobby of the Pierre Lassonde Pavilion, the 70-seat Café Québecor proposes an ever-changing cuisine adapted to the seasons and to the Museum’s programming, guided by reputed Québec chef Laurent Godbout.
